“Unferth’s accomplished miniatures … are alluring—you feel them as deeply and definitely as glass splinters, but they don’t let you see how they do it.”

—The New York Times Book Review

“Unferth’s genre-busting Minor Robberies specializes in dark fairy-tale-like stories and wickedly clever narratives…Unferth captures a distinctly tragic and funny off-kilter world.”

—TimeOut New York

“Minor Robberies reads strong and surprising and strange…a hilarious weigh-in on history, politics, philosophy, and psychological dispositions.”

—Elle Magazine

Minor Robberies marks the book-debut of an already mature and deeply talented writer.”

—Review of Contemporary Fiction
